Kara Yoo is a design and manufacturing studio located in Vancouver, Canada. They design and make almost everything in-house and have a strong focus on simple, yet striking designs, with nuanced proportions and silhouettes. Every piece is designed and made to wear. With a background in commerce and metal smithing, Kara takes a pragmatic approach to design, working with materials in their physical form to create designs with a keen sense of modularity. Ease and playfulness are key foundations for each collection. They are Asian and woman-owned; and work with and support other Asian, POC and women-owned businesses
